On behalf of The Style Line, I couldn’t be more thrilled to share the launch of an incredible collaborative project between Melissa Joy Manning and The Style Line. After nearly a year in the making, today we bring you, Echo: A collection of jewelry boxes that inspire thought and echo change surrounding conscious consumerism in the fashion industry.
Now at a first glance, one may ask how something like a jewelry box has the ability to change this conversation. Melissa and I wanted to create something that reminds us of value and protects what’s closest to us. A jewelry box is a timeless piece that we wanted to reinvent to mesh with this current conversation. We came to the conclusion it was the perfect product for these ideals: As an object it protects the treasures we value most. Designed and produced with responsibly-sourced stones (whose design was inspired by qualities including air, movement and an echoing effect) and reclaimed wood, the box itself pays homage to celebrating process and quality craftsmanship that we hope to re-instill in shopping.
With every purchase made from the Echo Collection, customers will be helping echo this changing message when it comes to shopping more responsibly. And all technicalities aside, Echo itself is a reflection of the shared ethos between Melissa Joy Manning and The Style Line. It emphasizes our commitment to sustainability in terms of both manufacturing and community – As 10% of all proceeds will go to CFDA’s Sustainability Fund. Speaking more to this, in the past year, sustainability has become increasingly present in our stories. Meeting inspiring people like Melissa, who have implemented sustainable practices and values in their pursuits have paved the way for collective awareness and shown that we can create impact, simply by doing what we love. In the case of our Echo Collection we can begin this change just by thinking about how we shop and what we buy. From conception to launch, the Echo Collection has created a change within our own approach to how we will continue to share stories moving forward. For The Style Line, Echo is a love-note and declaration of commitment to communal sustainability. Melissa herself is a recurrent interviewee and has been an ongoing supporter of The Style Line from the beginning. We thought it was only necessary to work together to create something whose message has longevity off-screen and can facilitate impact beyond the web…
I am personally so thankful to have the had the opportunity to work with Melissa and her incredible team on this tiny yet tenacious collection of beautiful jewelry boxes. It is our hope, that you love it just as much as we do. And if anything, I hope this project inspires you to think about the power you have just with your personal style. After-all, it only takes one to start an echo that can be heard for a lifetime.
